Dr. Safaa Eldin Abaza graduated from Mansoura Cairo University, Egypt in 1974. Thereafter, he proceeded to the UK for post-graduate training and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons - England in 1990 and became a Member of the A.O. Alumni Association from University of Bern, Switzerland in 1993. He underwent higher surgical training programs in Switzerland, Austria, France and USA.

Dr. Safaa is currently an active reviewer and author in the British Medical Journal Case Reports and has multiple publications in various medical journals.

Dr. Safaa’s medical practice in the UAE commenced with his appointment as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in one of the largest government hospitals in Abu Dhabi from 1980 to 2009. Following that, he joined a private hospital in the same emirate.

Dr. Safaais a Senior Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery and has over 40 years of experience with special expertise in Traumatology. His main interest are the hand and upper extremities surgery, paediatric orthopaedic trauma and surgery, knee osteoarthritis and all ultrasound-guided procedures and injections.  His areas of expertise include musculoskeletal traumatology, upper and lower limb; and sports medicine and trauma.

Dr. Safaa speaks Arabic and English.
